CBSA Systems Scheduled Maintenance

Please read the following notice from the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA):

PLEASE NOTE: Farrow advises importers to inform this planned outage to their transportation teams and to action PARS requests as early as possible. While this may not prevent delays due to this outage, it may assist with carriers seeing PARS acceptance messages prior to outage.

Description
Please note that for maintenance purposes, the following CBSA commercial systems will be unavailable on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 01:30 (ET) to 09:00 (ET).

Commercial systems:

  • Accelerated Commercial Release Operations Support System (ACROSS)
  • eManifest Portal
  • Canadian Export Reporting System (CERS) Portal
  • Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)

The CBSA has contingency plans in place to continue trade processing without compromising the safety and security of Canada. Our frontline operations will adopt mitigation measures to expedite processing and to complete any verifications manually, as required. To further minimize disruption, the outage will be completed overnight and the slowdown will happen during non peak hours in most areas. Throughout the duration of the planned maintenance, CBSA management intends to work collaboratively with you to facilitate border clearances until the planned outage is complete and systems are back online.

We will update this message if the maintenance extends pas the end date/time.  We regret the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.

Client service support is available 24/7 should you require immediate assistance. Please refer to the Client Service/Contact Information below.

Action Required
Commercial clients are encouraged to refer to the contingency procedures, or be prepared to resume transmission once the system is available. For highway carriers, if you are proceeding to the border during the planned outage, please ensure all drivers are provided with two copies of the correct paperwork to present at arrival.

The CBSA will accept paper documentation during an outage and no AMPS penalties will be issued for ACI related infractions resulting from this outage.
