Importer Responsibilities: The Canada Revenue Agency Business Number

As an importer, your Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) Business Number (BN) is a vital component of the information declared to Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) by your broker, Farrow, at the time of importation. CBSA now utilizes the BN as the basis for their interaction with you for all accounting, payment and compliance matters. When Farrow arranges for the release of your goods, and transmits this number to CBSA, we, as your broker, are stating who the Importer of Record is.
