Canada is currently in various bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements (FTA) with countries all over the world. Here are Canada’s current FTAs:

Canada – Chile Free Trade Agreement (CCFTA)
The CCFTA has been in force since July 1997, and have tripled two-way merchandise trade between Canada and Chile.

Canada – Colombia Free Trade Agreement (CCOFTA)
The CCOFTA was signed by Canada in 2008 and came into force in August 2011.

Canada – Costa Rica Free Trade Agreement (CCRFTA)
The CCRFTRA came into force November 2002 and focuses mainly on trade in goods. Efforts to modernize and broaden the CCRFTA are ongoing.

Canada – European Free Trade Association (EFTA)
The EFTA is a goods-only agreement with an emphasis on tariff elimination between Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. It came into force July 2011.

Canada – Honduras Free Trade Agreement (CHFTA)
The CHFTA came into force October 2014, and strengthens the commercial relationship between Canada and Honduras.

Canada – Israel Free Trade Agreement (CIFTA)
The CIFTA came was brought into force January 1997, but has been in the process of modernization since 2014.

Canada – Jordan Free Trade Agreement (CJFTA)
The CJFTA has been in force since October 2012.

Canada – Korea Free Trade Agreement (CKFTA)
The CKFTA entered into force on January 2015 and provides exporters with preferential access to Korea.

Canada – Panama Free Trade Agreement (CPAFTA)
The CPAFTA run parallel to other agreements that focus on labour cooperation and cross-border trade. It came into force April 2013.

Canada – Peru Free Trade Agreement (CPFTA)
The CPFTA came into force on August 2009, with parallel accords on environmental and labour cooperation also in force.

North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)
Coming into effect January 1994, NAFTA created the largest free trade region in the world, linking 450 million people and producing $20.7 trillion worth of goods and service. In January of 2008 all tariffs between the three countries were eliminated.

Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA)
CETA was signed by the Canadian Prime Minister and EU officials in October 2016. It is expected to be ratified in 2017.
