Notice of extension of investigations: Decorative and Other Non-Structural Plywood 2 (DONP2 2026 IN)
The Canada Border Services Agency has today extended the preliminary phase of the investigations respecting the alleged injurious dumping and subsidizing of decorative and other non-structural plywood originating in or exported from the Peopleβs Republic of China.
The Special Import Measures Act (SIMA) provides that, under normal circumstances, the preliminary stage of the investigations shall be completed within 90 days of the date of initiation. However, due to the complexity or novelty of the issues presented by the investigations, number of persons involved, and difficulty of obtaining satisfactory evidence, the period has been extended to 135 days, pursuant to subsection 39(1) of SIMA.
Consequently, the decision to issue preliminary determinations or to terminate the investigations with respect to some or all of the goods will be made on or before August 24, 2026. A revised investigation schedule is now available.
