NCBFAA ALERT: Texas DPS Inspecting 100% of Trucks at Laredo Columbia Bridge

Customs and Border Protection at the Laredo Field Office informed the trade that since this morning the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has initiated 100-percent inspections for commercial trucks at the Laredo Colombia Bridge. Current wait times are approximately an hour.

“We do not have an expected duration of the DPS operations,” the CBP Laredo Field Office said. “Following our contingency plans, World Trade Bridge is available to accept shipments with cargo/loads as an alternative entry point into the US through the Port of Laredo.”

Meanwhile, Texas DPS has ended inspections at the ports of Del Rio and Eagle Pass. For the Port of Eagle Pass, CBP said passenger vehicle processing operations remain suspended at Bridge 1 to both northbound and southbound traffic.
