Maersk Update on Port of Montreal

The expectation is if the legislation is approved tomorrow that could mean the port reopens Friday-Saturday, April 30-May 1 (this is a best-case scenario). Port of Montreal remains closed today and our contingency plans are in motion. Once the port reopens, customers should add sufficient time in your supply chains for the inherent start-up period after a port closure.

Maersk vessel and terminal information:

Maersk Penang is in Saint John and will finish operations today and then go to Halifax to work on Saturday, May 1 and then return to Saint John for a port call, May 3.

Maersk Palermo will call Montreal, May 4th, then proceed to Halifax and work Sunday, May 9, and then go to Saint John on May 10.
