Farrow is thrilled to receive Toyota’s Kaizen Excellence Award for 2020. This is the sixth time the company has received this award and third time in the past four years.
“Kaizen” a Japanese term that refers to the practice of continuous improvement, is a key tenant of the Toyota Production System. It is awarded to companies who embrace the Kaizen model of focusing their efforts on small, continuous improvements which lead to positive results on a larger scale.
Farrow was recognized for enhancements made to its operating system to accommodate Toyota Canada Inc.’s request to streamline accounting to Canada Customs and maintain compliance. Farrow’s system was programmed to identify parts, vehicles and other goods in Toyota Canada’s monthly Revenue Summary Form, which improved both efficiency and operations.
“We’re honoured to be presented with an award that places such an emphasis on continuous improvement” said Grant Robinson, CEO, Farrow. “This acknowledgement is a result of the dedication & collaboration between our two organizations to methodically improve the productivity by which customs compliance is delivered.”
