Please be advised that the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s (CFIA) National Import Service Centre (NISC) is currently experiencing delays in processing import declarations.
All CFIA systems are functioning as expected and as such clients are asked to continue sending all CFIA electronic declarations using the Integrated Import Declaration (IID).
The safety of Canadians is our first priority and while every effort is made to maintain efficient processing standards, some complex risk-based decisions may affect service levels.
Please refrain from calling for status updates during this time, as it may create further delays. For urgent requests, you may continue to contact the NISC by email to cfia.nisc-csni.acia@inspection.gc.ca.
