CBP says Reinstated Section 301 China of Certain Exclusions Ready in ACE April 12

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in an update on Tuesday to its March 31 message to the trade said the functionality to accept the Section 301 China reinstatement of certain product exclusions under HTSUS classification 9903.88.67 will be available in ACE starting April 12 at 7 a.m. ET.

The agency reminded importers, customs brokers, and other filers to refer to CSMS 39587858 (Entry Summary Order of Reporting for Multiple HTSUS when 98 or 99 HTSUS are required) for guidance when filing an entry summary in which a heading or subheading in Chapter 99 is claimed on imported merchandise.

CBP recommended that any questions from importers and customs brokers concerning ACE entry rejections involving product exclusions should be sent to their CBP Client Representative. For questions related to Section 301 entry-filing requirements, refer to CSMS 40969690 Information on Trade Remedy Questions and Resources.
